Monmouth County becomes the first to adopt Complete Streets policy

Monmouth County has become the first county in the state to establish a Complete Streets policy. At a recent meeting, the Freeholders adopted the policy which will guide the planning, design, construction and maintenance of new and retrofitted road, bridge and other transportation projects in the county. In concept, complete streets are designed and operated to enable safe access for all users – pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities – to be able to move safely along and across a street.
