Governor Christie speaks to Charter Schools Association in Long Branch
Speaking at the New Jersey Charter Schools Association conference in Long Branch Thursday, Governor Christie commended the state’s 39 charter schools for delivering better results than their local districts with significantly less funding. Christie pledged his support for the charter school movement. The Governor left funding for charter schools largely untouched in his budget and told the crowd that they can expect to see more charter schools opening in the next year.
