Beds are dropped and suspects are caught in a heist at Ocean County Mall
Toms River Police Chief Mike Mastronardy says officers responded to JC Penny’s at the Ocean County Mall yesterday afternoon for a shoplifting in progress. Two male suspects stole a couple of “Deluxe Air Beds” worth about $400 and fled towards Hooper Avenue. Police nabbed 30 year old Jason Kent by the Bay Lea Tennis Courts while 43 year old Mark Bolden was arrested hiding under a porch in the Laurel Chase Condominiums. The airbeds were dropped by the pair and were recovered by JC Penny’s security. Kent was released on a summons and Bolden was held in Ocean County Jail on $5,000 bail.
