Monmouth County Consumer Bowl educates students on consumer issues
This morning at 9, the Monmouth County Department of Consumer Affairs will host its annual Consumer Bowl at the new Monmouth County Fire Academy. High school students from Colts Neck, Freehold Township, Howell, Keansburg, Manalapan, Marlboro, Matawan, Neptune, Red Bank Catholic and St. John Vianney and the county’s Communications high school will compete in a game-show format by answering questions in a multiple choice and open-ended format. The public is invited to attend. Winners will go on to compete in the regional and state competitions to be held in the spring. The Freehold Township High School team was crowned champion in the both the 2008 and 2009 New Jersey State Consumer Bowls.
