More people are rounded up in Wednesday's pot bust
A man and woman are being held in Monmouth County jail, on One million dollars cash bail following the bust of a three-county, 10-million dollar marijuana growing operation. Both defendants were apprehended at a Millstone home on Robbins Road, along with 500 pot plants and 50 pounds of harvested marijuana. A third suspect is in Middlesex County Jail, with bail set at the same amount. In addition, about 700 pot plants were seized at a Stayman Court residence in Manalapan. More than 460 plants, plus equipment used to steal electricity to help cultivate them, were taken from a Manahawkin home on Beach Avenue.
