Jobs may be lost to balance the budget in Matawan-Aberdeen school district
Officials with the Matawan-Aberdeen school district say a shortfall of $6 Million could cause the loss of up to 78 jobs. 32 staffers could be laid off and hiring a private contractor to run custodial services is also included. Meantime, the $61 Million budget calls for small tax increases for property owners while maintaining the majority of school programs.
