Already seeing results!!!
I weighed myself on the Atlantic Club's digital scale yesterday and it confirmed what my home digital scale read: 145.6 lbs! That got me psyched for my 40 minute work-out on the elliptical machine! I bumped into my trainer Darrell, who I will be seeing tomorrow for a review and grueling work-out. He kindly pointed out the reason I was feeling a little hungry between lunch and dinner was because I didn't have my second protein snack of the day (A yummy protein bar that tastes like a snicker's candy bar!). I thought I was only allowed to have one a day! Now I'm even more ecstatic!!! I'm a little nervous about tomorrow's work-out with him, but I've got my eye on the bikini prize!!!
Week 1, so far so good!
After completing my first full week on the TIO program, I'm even more motivated and hopeful I'll be able to lose 15-20 lbs in 12 weeks! I have a better understanding of how the food plan works and how to choose my meals with store bought selections. I'm down 4 lbs, but I know I will have to stay focused! I had a great work-out on Friday with my trainer Darrell, and even though I'm still sore, I'm going back for more pain today!!! He had me doing squats with the exercise ball, repetitions with the Kettle Bells, simulated push-ups and pull-ups on the machines and abs!!! I knew my stomach would be my weakest body part and my biggest challenge...but I'm tired of not being able to fit into my old pants, pre-pregnancy!
Ouch!
I met with my trainer, Darrell, yesterday for a much more grueling work-out! It hurts to sneeze! LOL! He had me use the TRX Suspension system, they're basically resistance straps, which can be used to work the entire body. We also did push ups using a ball. I have to say...that was tough and not the most pleasant part of the work-out! I had to keep telling myself, "I will get buff, I will get buff!" LOL! Anyway, I thought I'd share I'm wearing a pair of pants today that I haven't been able to fit into since having my son! It's exciting to see the hard work starting to pay off!
Week 2 weigh-in!
I will complete my second week on the TIO program on Monday, but I'm being weighed today! My scale at home says I've stayed the same, but we'll see what happens! I am building more muscle thanks to Darrell's grueling work-outs! I'll be meeting Darrell again on Monday, so I'm sure I'll feel his wrath literally during the work-out, if he's not happy with the results! LOL!. Seriously though, I'm enjoying mixing up the eating plan and finding different combinations of foods that I prefer the best or that make me feel more satisfied. I have definately found that splitting my lunch protein in half and eating an egg in the morning for breakfast makes a HUGE difference! I wanted to mention real quick, the awesome response at last night's "Taking It Off Is A Breeze" event at the Atlantic Club's Red Bank location. Lots of people signed up after seeing and hearing the success stories of club members! If you missed it, you can attend next Thursday's event at the Manasquan location! Hope to see you there! Have a great weekend!!!
Back for more pain!!!
Okay, so I weighed in on the Atlantic Club's scale on Friday, and I was still down 4 lbs. Over the weekend, my scale said I lost another pound, but I'll compare when I go back to work-out today! Darrell will be putting me through another fun but grueling work-out!!! It's so exciting to try on clothes that didn't fit and see the results! Our station gave us company shirts a few weeks ago. I ordered a medium (wishful thinking), but when I got it home and tried it on...I couldn't button it!!! I decided to pull it out of the closet last night...and what do you know...I'm wearing it today!!! I will admit I miss eating all the pasta and bread which I absolutely LOVE, but the payoff is worth it!
Truckin' along!!!
Even though my weight is staying the same, my body is definately changing! I met with Darrell yesterday and he's already noticing the difference too! He measured my body fat (eeks!) and took my measurements, so we can start comparing that each week as well. He put me through another interesting work-out! I can't remember everything, because there was so much!!! LOL! I did mountain climbs, push-ups, bear crawls, crab walks, planks, squats, lunges, stairs, yes stairs! He also had me throw weighted balls. Of course, I'm sore today, but it's a good hurt!!! I know my hard work is paying off. I am wearing a pair of brown cargo pants that I couldn't get past my upper thighs a week ago! They're still a little snug around the waist, but I finally got them on!!! Come join me on Thursday night at the Atlantic Club's Manasquan location for a free seminar on how you can get started too! You'll see and hear real success stories from members! Hope to see you there!
Super turn-out last night!
WOW! 250 people signed up for last night's seminar on the "Take It Off" weight loss program! It was standing room only in the Manasquan facility! It was nice to see so many people interested in living a healthier life style and willing to make a change for the better! Thanks to personal training from Darrell and his guidance, I'm appreciating the TIO plan more and more each day. I jokingly say it's a diet, but it's not. It's a realistic plan, eating store-bought foods with the correct portion sizes! A few of my co-workers are taking the TIO challenge too and already are seeing amazing results as well! Two of them have been on it for less than 2 weeks and have each lost 5 pounds! My third week officially starts on Monday, but I'm weighing in today and hoping the scale says 145 pounds! The goal is to lose 1-1/2 to 2 pounds a week the healthy way, so you can keep it off later. It's motivating to feel my jeans getting looser each time I wear them!!!
The TIO plan is working!!!
I weighed in at the Atlantic Club on Friday and I'm officially 5 lbs lighter!!! My home scale says I lost 2 more lbs over the weekend. I thought it was too good to be true at first, so I waited until after I ate lunch and dinner and checked my weight again this morning. The scale said 142!!! I will compare with the Atlantic Club's scale this afternoon. By the way, I am wearing another outfit that I haven't worn in over a year! A pair of jeans that I couldn't button last week fit me now!!! And, I'm wearing them today! It's so thrilling to be able to wear different clothes for a change!!! It's like going shopping without spending money, because every time I walk into my closet, I'm able to find something different to wear other than the same five outfits I've been wearing for the last five months!!!
Week 3 weigh-in!
I step on the scale this afternoon at the Atlantic Club and I'm hoping it says I'm 2 lbs lighter! I'm meeting my trainer Darrell for another work-out today and I'm wondering what he has in store for me today!!! I figure with the snow storm coming I'll have a few days to recover! LOL! Maybe I'll go through my closets again and try on all the clothes have been too tight! Have a safe weekend!
Body fat is dropping!!!
Okay, so I'm officially down 6-1/2 lbs and it turns out my body fat is down too! According to my trainer Darrell, the percentage of body fat I lost is more impressive than the pounds. When he measured by body fat on January 22nd, it was 26.6 percent. On Friday, February 5th, it was 26.0. That is why I'm able to fit into more pants than before! Normal body fat for someone my height (5'3") is in the mid-teen to mid-20 range, so I'm almost there!!! Darrell also had another interesting work-out for me on Friday, and although I loathe planks...I happily did them once he informed me they build muscle from the inside out. My belly is starting to look almost normal! Please feel free to ask me any questions about the "Take It Off" program. You can send your questions to dianned@breezeradio.com.
I cheated!!!
I had my weigh-in with Darrell yesterday, and my weight stayed the same this week, 143 lbs, but my body fat went down again. I was a little disappointed with the weight, but Darrell keeps reminding me that it's difficult to lose body fat, so I'm staying positive. My body fat went from 26.0 last week to 25.6. I must confess though, I cheated!!! I was so busy on Sunday and Monday that I skipped lunch and just ate dinner. That can screw up your metabolism and slow it down. I'm getting back on track this week and realize I have to stay focused because it's going to get harder to lose pounds as I get closer to my goal weight. I also worked-out with Darrell yesterday, using the exercise ball and weights. We focused on my arms and abs...and I feel it today!!! Despite my slip up, I'm wearing another pair of jeans that I couldn't fit into last week!!!
My co-workers are kicking my butt!
Two of my co-workers are doing the "Take It Off" weight loss plan with me, and they are dropping the lbs like crazy!!! One of them is down 5 pounds and says the longer she does it, the easier she's finding it. She's been exercising three times a week and her jeans are falling off! The other co-worker is down 7 1/2 lbs!!! She had gained back 2 pounds last week from, as she puts it "super bowl party salt retention"...but lost it, plus a half a pound! I've got some serious competition now. My head is back in the game! ha...ha!!!
Wooohooo!!!
I had my weigh-in yesterday with Darrell and I'm now down 8-1/2 lbs!!! My body fat also went down again! I was freaking out because at my last weigh-in the scale didn't budge even though my body fat dropped. I'm totally psyched!!! My co-workers are doing awesome too! One of them is down 8-lbs and has only exercised twice since she's been on the "Take It Off Program," and the other one is down 6-lbs...and only exercises about three times a week! The three of us love the program so much, we keep saying how we plan to continue following it beyond the 12 weeks!!!
Down 10!!!
I had my weigh-in on Friday and I am officially down 10lbs!!! I'm now 139lbs and hoping to lose another 10! My body fat went down again too. Darrell, my coach and personal trainer, had another grueling but "fun" work-out for me on the T-Rex suspension system. I won't compain about the pain...ha...ha...because I was able to fit into two more pairs of jeans that didn't fit last week! One of my co-workers is down 8 lbs and the other is down 7-1/2!!!
Down again!!!
I lost another pound!!! And...my body fat is down again. I had my weigh-in with Darrell on Friday. He also put me through another "interesting" work-out. My hamstrings still hurt!!! Ha..ha! I'm hoping to keep the momentum going! Spring starts Saturday and Summer is around the corner!!!
