The clock is ticking to apply for federal storm aid

Ocean County residents eligible for FEMA aid, for the first big snowstorm this winter, are running out of time to file paperwork. The deadline is Friday, for all six southern counties covered by the federal declaration. FEMA reimburses 75-percent of approved costs, for state and local governments, schools, and commissions. Other potential applicants include non-profit hospitals, utilities, community arts centers and senior centers. Applications are available through each county’s Office of Emergency Management.
