The clock is ticking to apply for federal storm aid
Ocean County residents eligible for FEMA aid -for the first big snowstorm this winter- are running out of time to file paperwork. The deadline is Friday the 19th, for all six southern counties covered by the federal declaration. FEMA reimburses 75-percent of approved costs, for state and local governments, schools, and commissions. Other potential applicants include non-profit hospitals, utilities, community arts centers and senior centers. Applications are available through each county’s Office of Emergency Management.
