IRS reminds Jersey taxpayers about available free tax prep services
With spring in sight- many are focusing on their tax returns- and the IRS is reminding you of the free tax preparation services available. New Jersey IRS spokesman Gregg Semanick says their Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program offers free help to people who earn under $49-thousand, as well as non-English speaking taxpayers and those with disabilities. There’s also the Tax Counseling for the Elderly Program- for taxpayers 60 and older. Local volunteer site information is available by calling 1-800-906-9887.
