Homeowners get new chance at affordable solar energy in lease program
Building on the Garden State’s leading efforts to offer more solar options, is a new program from NJR Home Services that allows homeowners to lease solar panels. The subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is ready to invest a total of four-million dollars, to install and maintain panels on eligible homes. Customers in turn pay a fixed electric rate of 52-dollars a month, over a 20-year lease. The energy produced also is eligible for Solar Renewable Energy Certificates.
